Ridge Augmentation

This is a typical situation seen after the extraction of an anterior tooth. The ridge has collapsed in the right central incisor position. The skin that attaches the lip to the gums has even collapsed into this space. The bridge that is present looks unnatural and also acts as a food and bacteria trap.

The post operative photo shows the ridge after a simple augmentation procedure. It is much more natural looking and hygienic. This procedure can be done very easily and painlessly if done at the same time as the extraction or can still be done even if the permanent bridge has been placed.
