Wm. Dr. Culley grew up in Paris, Tennessee.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin, and he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis.  He completed a three year residency in periodontology and dental implants at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he trained under some of the world leaders in the fields of dental implants and periodontology.   

After completing his residency, Dr. Culley wanted to return to West Tennessee to serve the area and people he knows and loves.  He and his wife returned to Paris to begin their family.  They have two daughters and one son.  Dr. Culley stays extremely active in their education and athletics by volunteering at school activities and coaching or assistant coaching softball, basketball and soccer.  They also sponsor several different youth athletic teams in the community.  Dr. and Mrs. Culley also started the Culley Pre-Dental Endowment Scholarship at the University of Tennessee at Martin.  Two students in the Pre-Dental field are annually awarded a scholarship of approximately $1500.00 each to help offset some of the ever mounting educational costs facing those wanting to enter the field of dentistry.  Interested parties should contact the Office of Finacial Affairs at UT Martin for further information on the scholarship.

Dr. Culley lectures nationally ^*on Periodontics and Implant Dentistry as well as serving as part time associate clinical professor in the graduate Periodontics department at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. Dr. Culley has had research and cases published in several specialty journals and continues to actively participate in research projects and publish.  He provides research data in the area of implants, grafting materials and cutting edge periodontal technology for many of the nations leading corporations.    He has been voted as one of  " America's Top Dentists" by the Consumer Digest Group in 2003-2004 , 2004-2005, 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 in the fields of periodontics and implant dentistry.  This is an award where nomination and votes come from area dentists and other dental specialists.
